In each form we have admin notification setting. When adding an email there verification is mandatory. Some clients are confused about this process. They ignore these emails and admin notifications are not sent.
I am adding this as a bug because this process is unnecessary. Deftform send emails to users filling in forms with no verification but ask verification for admins. Admin verification does not serve any purpose because I as manager of the form already know my client wants to receive this email.
In my case I am using my own SMTP server to send emails and this verification is unnecessary on another level. Because you will never send an email form your servers on my behalf

But when you can add any email address without prior confirmation, you could just create a form with a text area, add your spam text and send this out to all the addresses you entered there. That's also why we introduced the 2-minute limit on the form itself, because the other way around is possible as well. There are always idiots out there who ruin things for everyone. We've had 10k+ spam emails sent this way via our email address. Stuff like this costs us money and causes bad reputation.
If you can think of a better solution, don't hesitate to let us know. We're open to change the process if it makes things easier for our customers. I think one solution would be to allow unverified/unconfirmed email addresses while a custom SMTP connection is active. I'll give this a thought.
